Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. This role involves supporting daily bakery operations, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and experience in food handling within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with baking and food preparation, including measuring ingredients and mixing dough or batter
- Package baked goods efficiently for wholesale orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and bakery equipment
- Support the team in preparing ingredients and maintaining inventory levels
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all products meet health standards
- Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking workstations throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery, food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Skills in food preparation, and baking are highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus but not required
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
