About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Level 2 Insurance Broker to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a broker who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and providing clients with knowledgeable, personalized insurance solutions.
We have 2 locations that we are seeking broker: Our High River Branch and our Mahogany Branch in Calgary
The successful candidate will have experience in both Personal and Commercial Lines, strong sales and communication skills, and the ability to confidently work with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and comfortable with outside sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow new business through outside sales, networking, referrals, and prospecting
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients
Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage solutions
Provide knowledgeable advice and clearly explain coverage, exclusions, deductibles, and policy conditions
Quote, negotiate, bind, and process Personal and Commercial insurance policies
Work closely with insurers and underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and coverage
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional insurance products and services
Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to client questions and concerns
Assist clients with claims and coordinate with insurers when required
Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and policy information
Follow up on leads, renewals, quotes, and new business opportunities
Participate in community events, networking opportunities, and marketing initiatives
Contribute ideas and strategies to increase our presence and grow our book of business
Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
Level 2 General Insurance License
Minimum 3–5 years of insurance experience
Strong knowledge and experience in both Personal and Commercial Lines
Proven sales and business development abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Ability to explain insurance products and coverage in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
A professional, positive, and client-focused approach
Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine desire to help clients find the right coverage
