Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician specializing in Dairy and Swine operations to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of Barn Equipment and industrial equipment used in dairy and swine production. The ideal candidate will possess strong trouble shooting skills, hands-on experience with electrical equipment and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse equipment, including farm feeding equipment, robotic milking systems, and manure handling components
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on dairy and swine farm Equipment,Milking systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals; execute repairs efficiently using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on farm machinery and industrial equipment; perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or machinery installations following schematics and technical specifications.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding maintenance needs or repairs.
Skills
- Proven experience with dealership service work or farm machinery maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge across various systems including electrical wiring, Welding and industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steers and other power tools.
- Ability to read schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues accurately.
- Skilled in welding, assembly work, and the use of hand tools for repairs or modifications.
- Experience working with farm machinery specific to dairy and swine operations is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintenance records and safety compliance.
This position requires a motivated individual capable of working independently or as part of a team to ensure the reliable operation of critical farm machinery while delivering exceptional service to clients.
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
