Jr. Research and Education Officer

Reporting to the MCG Research & Field Technician, the MCG Jr. Research and Education Officer is responsible for engaging fellow MCG staff, Government agencies, academia, youth, the private sector and community members to gather and share information regarding the present health and status of our watersheds. S/he will be responsible for assisting the MCG Team with developing and executing research projects and outreach related to aquatic resource management, documenting research activities, keeping data organized, managing research agendas and plans designed to promote scientific capacity within Mi’kmaw First Nation Communities, and taking direction from the MCG Research & Field Technician while assisting with ongoing projects .S/he will be based in CMM’S satellite office in Paq’tnkek First Nation in the county of Antigonish Nova Scotia.
