We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Truck Collision Bodyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining heavy duty trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles that have sustained collision or transport damage. Responsibilities:
- Assess damaged truck bodies and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove dents, replace panels, and realign truck frames
- Conduct thorough inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large parts and vehicle components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Document repair processes and communicate progress
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Body Repairer certification preferred, or equivalent repair experience
- Proven automotive repair experience
- Strong knowledge of truck systems, body structures , and collision repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to read repair estimates and follow repair procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a busy workshop environment
- Prior experience working as a collision bodyman in a similar role is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
