Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine/Powersports Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine and powersports equipment, including boats, outboard motors, ATVs, and motorcycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a passion for working on recreational vehicles. Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be on marine: boats, motors, trailers, etc. Assist on powersports and equipment as needed
- PDI units, attach accessories, perform and record warranty work
- Diagnose mechanical issues on marine and powersports equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire replacements, and system inspections
- Repair or replace faulty components including engines, electrical systems, brakes, and steering mechanisms
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment
- Conduct safety checks to ensure all repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed
- Assist customers with technical questions regarding their equipment’s operation and maintenance
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols
Requirements
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact wrenches is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- 2 year mechanical experience in marine is required, powersports is a plus but not required
- Hourly rate is determined by experience, reliability, and efficiency
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
