Macro truckshop is looking for a shop mechanic to join our team in Fort St. John.
This is a fleet maintenance position working on a variety of heavy trucks, light-duty trucks and trailers. We’re looking for someone with a solid mechanical background who is willing to work on both heavy and light equipment.
Applicants can come from either an Automotive or Commercial Transport background. Experience in both is an asset, but not required.

We’re flexible on experience and are willing to consider:
- 2nd or 3rd year apprentices
- Experienced apprentices
- Automotive Service Technicians
- Commercial Transport Technicians
- Mechanics with relevant fleet experience
The ideal candidate has a solid mechanical background, is dependable and is able to work independently as well as part of a team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to troubleshoot problems, and is interested in working on a variety of equipment.
Experience with both heavy and light-duty vehicles is an asset, but we’re willing to train the right person across areas they may have less experience in.
Schedule & Pay
- $30–$40/hour+ depending on experience and qualifications
- Monday to Friday (possible weekends when needed)
- Overtime available
- Full-time position
