Physician – Primary Care
Hines Health Services Hines Health Services (HHS) is Fort McMurray’s local medical services and occupational health care provider. Founded in 2012, HHS has an extensive client base with over 5,000 clients in diverse industries and sectors. HHS’s diverse scope of services includes a local assessment clinic, mobile services, on-site testing, staffing and remote medical service, as well as a dedicated Emergency Medical Division.
Are you a Physician looking for a new opportunity? In this position, the Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care to individuals and families across the lifespan through in-clinic and/or virtual care delivery models. The Physician delivers preventive care, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic medical conditions, promotes health and wellness, and provides patient education to support informed decision-making and long-term health outcomes.
This role emphasizes evidence-based medicine, clinical leadership, and continuity of care within a community health clinic setting, with the flexibility to provide virtual care services when appropriate. The Physician works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, accessible, and culturally responsive care.
Hourly rate:
- $250-300/hour clinic time (commensurate with experience)
- $50/hr travel time (for example, a 2-hour flight into the region would be compensated at $100)

Requirements: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide comprehensive primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
· Manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines
· Deliver preventive care services, including health screenings, and risk assessments
· Promote patient wellness through education, counseling, and disease prevention strategies
· Coordinate care with specialists, allied health professionals, and community resources as needed
· Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
· Support quality improvement initiatives and continuity of care within the clinic
· Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards of medical practice

Pay: $250.00-$300.00 per hour
