SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Facilities Technologist assists and coordinates building maintenance, renovation and construction projects and upgrades. This includes developing specification sheets, obtaining quotes, writing proposals, developing the scope of work and schedules, contracting for local services and monitoring and reporting the progress of these projects.
Maintain Buildings and Properties
Lead and facilitate standard, small to medium sized capital and general maintenance projects, based on planned preventative programs and emergency requirements to ensure building assets are safe, productive and efficient, with cost effective results. This includes:
Prepare Scope of Work Documents for small to medium construction and renovation projects.
Produce drawings in AutoCAD and update as-built drawings, as per current standards system.
Prepare requests for quotations and tenders, receive supplier quotes, evaluate products offered for compliance to specifications, ensuring delivery meets construction or installation schedule.
Issue Contract for Local Services, in accordance with department procedures.
Provide cost estimates and quotes.
Communicate with suppliers and departments impacted by the project to coordinate renovation schedules.
Provide supervision and assignment of work activities to external supply chain contractors and vendors.
Participate in the post project review, to address any issues.
Assist in processing invoices.

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Architectural Building and Technology Diploma, from a recognized institution.
Eligible for membership with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS).
Experience
One (1) year experience in building management and/or construction project management.
Two (2) years practical experience in office design and space planning.
Four (4) years practical experience with AutoCAD.
Alternative Education/Experience
Computer Aided Design/Drafting Technology Diploma, from a recognized institution.
Eligible for membership with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS).
Valid Class 5 driver's license (copy must accompany job applications).
Two (2) years experience in building management and/or construction project management.
Two (2) years practical experience in office design and space planning.
Four (4) years practical experience with AutoCAD.
This job is subject to callout situations.
Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
This job requires extended work hours.
