ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Planner/Scheduler will contribute to supporting AGJV project scope of work at LNGC site in Kitimat, BC. With at least five years of experience and knowledge of project controls processes and tools, the successful candidate will provide planning/scheduling and reporting to the site leadership team.
KEY OBJECTIVES

Build and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders
MAIN ACTIVITIES

Develop, maintain, & update detailed CPM schedules, including resource and cost loading. Ensure the schedules are in line with the current project status and scope of works.

Import weekly progress and actuals from Excel tracker into P6. Update progress for over 10,000 activities within an hour to meet tight deadlines for report submissions.

Use advanced Primavera P6 functionalities to manage and adapt to dynamic changes efficiently within tight time constraints.

Generate and analyze S-curves, and produce comprehensive weekly reports as required by the client.

Ensure that project schedule decisions can be made based upon accurate and timely schedule and progress performance information

Handle frequent project changes with flexibility and efficiency. Adjust schedules and reporting to accommodate evolving priorities and project demands.

Apply various analysis techniques to evaluate project performance and assess delays, ensuring a thorough understanding of project status and impacts.

Identify potential risks and conflicts in the schedule and suggest resolutions

Liaise with the construction team, from a planning and commercial perspective, to ensure effective project management is maintained throughout the project lifecycle

Lead regular planning review meetings with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure that the current plan is achievable

Ensure compliance with Altrad policies, statutory obligations, and industry regulations

Foster a collaborative team environment, aligning individual goals with Altrad's organizational objectives

Any other tasks as directed by the Project Controls Manager
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum five years of experience in a similar role with advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data integration with Primavera P6.

Experience in importing and updating progress, actuals, activities, resources etc.. from Excel to Primavera P6 efficiently, particularly under tight deadlines.

Familiarity with various project analysis techniques and Impact Analysis methodologies.

PMP designation is considered an asset

Sound knowledge of the oil and gas industry particularly within a project environment.

Sound knowledge of painting, insulation, and fireproofing disciplines

Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office

Ability to read and understand relevant construction drawings

Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to prioritize workload utilizing effective organizational and time management skills
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
Please note this is a site based, fly in/fly out position working on a rotation of either 14 days on/7 days off or 20 days on/8 days off depending on flight hub.
