We are seeking a reliable and motivated Duct Cleaning Assistant that resides in the Cowichan Valley to support our lead technicians in the cleaning and maintenance of ventilation and heat pump systems. Great position for someone eager to learn technical skills in the field. The assistant plays a key role in ensuring efficient job completion, safe work practices, and positive customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead technicians with the operation of air duct cleaning equipment,
- Support the cleaning of ventilation systems in both residential and commercial settings
- Prepare job sites, set up equipment, and assist with breakdown and cleanup after service completion
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding work progress and service needs
- Assist with completing job documentation, checklists, and service reports
- Help ensure high standards of customer service during on-site interactions
- Manage time effectively to help projects stay on schedule while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and respectful demeanor
- Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools, or willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Must have a clean class 5 driver's license
- Must pass a criminal record check
