Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bar Manager/Head Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving high-quality beverages, and providing exceptional customer service and oversee our cocktail program. The Bar Manager/Head Bartender will be responsible ordering beverages and accountable for inventory management, staff supervision, as well as creating and mixing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an excellent experience. Prior restaurant experience and expertise with inventory control, POS systems are expected.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Bar and beverage inventory management
- Bar manager/floor supervisor
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
- Use POS systems such as Silverware for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling standards at all times
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with serving food when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
Skills
- Strong hospitality industry experience.
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Silverware or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Strong bar/beverage inventory management
- Strong leadership skills with +3 years of supervisor experience preferable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within the food industry
- Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor
- Experience in hospitality or food service is required; willingness to learn is essential
Compensation: In addition to the hourly rate, this position also pays an attractive level of tips earned, a support tip-out and potential bonus plan.
