Manager, Data Analytics, Internal Audit Services
The successful candidate will have strong experience with data collection, data analysis and business intelligence. The candidate will analyze, design, deliver and implement on Analytics development projects.
Support Internal Audit Services (IAS) through sophisticated data, financial and qualitative analysis
Provide consulting services within IAS and/or to our business partners on their information consumption and analytical needs
Provide expertise, awareness and where applicable, training to business users
Conduct technology research, evaluate Analytics tools and produce strategy/direction
Perform detailed analysis (data sourcing, analysis, testing) to ensure reliability, credibility and viability of conclusions and recommendations
Synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources, extrapolate and interpret appropriate information
Assist in preparation of presentation materials for senior management
Perform ad-hoc requests by senior management as necessary
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years related work experience in an analytical role (ideally within a Retail organization)
Bachelors or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline preferred
Strong background with numerical analysis and being able to quantify insights from data using analytical methods
Strong programming skills. Knowledge of SAS, Structured Query Language (SQL) and writing macros is required. Familiarity with R/Python Programming is a plus.
Develop concise and easy to understand strategic and business insights out of data analysis
Impeccable attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with excellent ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
Knowledge of forecasting and modelling techniques and processes is an asset.
Good knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques and willingness to maintain up to date knowledge.
