Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Coffee Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and food safety while working in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with serving food items when required, ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cashiering is desirable but not mandatory
- A friendly attitude with a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
