Litigation Lawyer
Overview:
Join our team at Sampogna Law, a small and closely-knit law firm that values hard work and positivity. We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Lawyer to contribute to our collaborative environment and provide exceptional legal services.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research to support litigation proceedings.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings.
- Utilize tools such as CanLiii for legal research and case preparation.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
- Prepare for and attend trials as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven experience in litigation law with at least 5+ years of experience
- Strong skills in legal drafting and writing.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research.
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
