Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining organized merchandise displays. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess strong communication skills to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered valuable assets.
Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a clean and inviting store environment
- Conduct product demos when applicable to promote features and benefits
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized stock areas and monitor inventory levels
- Ensure adherence to store policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards
- Manage phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for cash handling
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks effectively
- Experience in retail sales, technical sales, or product demos is advantageous
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Good organizational skills for stock management and store presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
