Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and support to staff, including participation in physician rounds, family meetings, discharge planning, and resident care discussions.
· Maintain clinical operations by overseeing supplies, inventory, equipment readiness, pharmacy signing lists, clinical files, and shared-drive documentation.
· Support quality, privacy, and accreditation standards through audits, documentation review, protocol development, data collection, and timely reporting of concerns.
· Assist with policy and procedure development, emergency preparedness activities, monthly fire and emergency drills, and safety initiatives such as the Good Catch program.
· Coordinate or support clinical processes including MAiD requests, 48-hour HPCO check-ins, and ALC/discharge conversations with internal and external care partners.
· Contribute to the planning and delivery of education for clinical staff.
Role Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing and current registration with the College of Nurses.
· CHPCN© certification preferred or required, as applicable.
· Additional education and Lean credentials preferred.
· Minimum one year of management and people leadership experience.
· Minimum five years’ experience in hospice or palliative care, with strong knowledge of palliative care philosophy, pain and symptom management, and appropriate clinical interventions.
· Experience supporting adult learning, education delivery, and positive learning environments is an asset.
· Flexible, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Valid driver’s licence and current Police Vulnerable Sector Check required.
