Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to accurately identify problems and execute repairs
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for vehicle repairs or modifications
- Lift heavy components safely during repair procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to dealership standards during all repair activities
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic, preferably within a dealership setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and assembly techniques
- Experience with welding and vehicle maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
