The UBCOB Ravens Women’s Rugby program is looking for a Head Coach to lead their Premier Women’s Rugby team through the upcoming season.
This is a paid coaching position and an opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of our women’s program. We’re looking for someone who can bring strong rugby knowledge, leadership, and enthusiasm to the role while creating a positive and competitive environment for our players.
Position Details
- Location: Vancouver, BC
Term: September 2026 to April 2027 (possibility of extension)
- Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
- Compensation: Paid position depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging, structured training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (evenings)
- Lead the team on Saturday match days (mornings and afternoons)
- Support the development of players across a range of experience and skill levels
- Develop game plans, team structures, and strategies
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to players
- Support player recruitment and retention throughout the season
- Work collaboratively with club leadership, other coaches, and staff
- Support the continued growth and development of the Ravens Women’s program
Qualifications
- Previous rugby coaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of rugby fundamentals, tactics, and player development
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and connect with players of different experience levels
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing a team in a competitive environment
- Committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for women in sport
