Key Responsibilities
Instrument Sterilization & Processing
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Package instruments for sterilization using proper procedures (e.g., using pouches, cassettes, autoclave indicators)
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (e.g., autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners)
- Maintain sterilization logs and documentation to meet regulatory standards
Operatory Turnover
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients
- Set up and restock operatories with appropriate instruments, supplies, and materials
- Dispose of single-use items and biohazard waste properly
Inventory & Supply Management
- Monitor levels of sterilization supplies (e.g., gloves, masks, disinfectants, sterilization pouches)
- Restock and order sterilization-related materials as needed
- Ensure sterilization room and equipment are organized and fully stocked
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on sterilization equipment
- Report malfunctions or needed repairs to appropriate personnel
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and effectively
Compliance & Infection Control
- Adhere to infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines
- Comply with workplace safety and regulatory standards (e.g., WHMIS, IPAC, OSHA/CSA)
- Participate in continuing education and training for safety and infection control procedures
Team Support
- Assist clinical staff and dental assistants as needed
- Support the dental team with general duties (e.g., helping move equipment, organizing trays)
- Foster a clean, safe, and efficient environment for patients and team members
Schedule:
- Monday: OFF
- Tuesday: 12:00-8:00PM
- Wednesday: 9:00-5:00PM
- Thursday: 12:00-8:00PM
- Friday: 9:00-5:00PM
- Saturday: 9:00-4:00PM
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Experience:
- dental office sterilization: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Dental Sterilization Technician Certification (preferred)
