We are seeking a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our housekeeping team! This position will play an essential role in providing guidance, support, and leadership to the afternoon housekeeping team while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shift. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained and that team members are supported in delivering exceptional service that meets or exceeds member expectations. This role offers a great opportunity to combine your leadership and hands-on operational experience in a dynamic, customer-focused setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the housekeeping team by fostering a safe, engaging environment, providing coaching, conducting meetings, and managing performance through regular feedback and evaluations
- Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and provide clear direction and support to housekeeping team members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing levels, task assignments, and responding to cleaning requirements from function sheets
- Maintain high cleanliness standards by conducting inspections, ensuring proper training, and supporting staff with hands-on assistance when needed
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment, including organization of supply areas, monthly counts
- Collaborate with other departments, address member feedback promptly, and ensure continuous improvement of service standards and overall experience
- Ensure daily housekeeping operations meet the Glencoe Health and Safety standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of leadership experience, ideally within housekeeping, hospitality, or recreational settings
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Business, or a related field considered an asset
- Proven ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions autonomously
- A diplomatic, outgoing personality with an ability to foster relationships with members and employees
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coordinating, and working within a diverse team environment, with strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Experience in recreational or multi-use facilities, with knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Team-oriented, able to perform under pressure, with high integrity and professionalism

Additional Details:
This is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Housekeeping. The successful candidate will be required to supervise the afternoon shift which is typically between 2-10:30pm. The Housekeeping Supervisor may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
