Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver/Nanny to provide for a 27 year old special need person, exceptional care and support within a family setting. You will be responsible for delivering personalized caregiving services that promote independence, comfort, and happiness. Your energy, attentiveness, and positive attitude will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you care for.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision, support, and care for a person with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on dietary needs, preferences, and healthy eating guidelines.
- Assist with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management, as required.
- Plan and engage the individual in appropriate activities that promote social interaction, independence, and overall well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and cleaning common areas.
- Communicate regularly with family members regarding daily progress, concerns, changes in needs, or other matters to ensure consistent and coordinated care
Skills
- Nursing or caregiving background, with proven experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Compassionate and patient caregiving approach, with strong empathy and the ability to use positive reinforcement techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with family members and healthcare professionals as required.
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including medication administration, safety protocols, and basic first aid.
