We have a great opportunity for a Hail Estimator to join our team at Crown Autobody & Glass located in the Waverley Auto Mall, at 800-1717 Waverley Street. Crown Autobody and Glass is a state of the art body shop with modern European equipment, specializing in import brands. The estimator may also support other Crown autobody shops on occasion as required.

The Hail Estimator, under the direction of the Manager of the assigned Collision Centre, is the primary liaison between the client and the collision centre team. The Hail Estimator is responsible for overseeing the day to day repair planning operations of the respective collision centre assigned to them. The successful candidate will review MPI claims and damages alongside the Advanced Repair Planners. The Estimator will confirm proper amendments are made to MPI claims through the use of photo documentation and written explanations.

Responsibilities:
- Writing hail estimates for internal as well as retail clients in a timely manner
- Conduct quality vehicle estimates, with goal of minimizing supplements and ask/approve variances and repairing vehicle to OEM/MPI/customer standards
- Disassemble, inspect and reassemble vehicles, costing parts, supplies and labour and determining time for completion of repairs
- Follow and abide by MPI policy and estimating standards
- Coordinate work processes and collaborate with technicians and other necessary departments
- Interact with customers to provide vehicle recommendations and explanations and vehicle updates, as needed

- Attend collision centre performance reviews and report necessary requested data
- Light office duties as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and ability to driver manual transmission
- Knowledge in hail estimation and MPI processes/guidelines/systems
- 3-5 years+ experience with professional autobody/hail estimating
- ICAR Certified in Estimating (preferred) or interest in becoming certified
- Mitchell Connect & Repair Center background an asset
- Disassembly and mechanical experience is preferred
- High attention to detail, proven time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team-based environment
