Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is currently looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to fill one full-time vacancy in our busy Pharmacy Operations Department.
Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Principle Responsibilities:
- Review prescription and hard copy for accuracy
- Package or dispense appropriate compounded finished preparations, using the CIN number for confirmation.
- Label compounded finished preparations [Rx label, lot label and auxiliary label(s)]
- Run, fill and dispense utilizing an automated dispensing machine.
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the work area
- Assist other areas during slow periods (i.e. shipping) or other tasks outlined by the Manager.
- Remove short dated or expired drugs from inventory and forward to the drug destruction team
- Re-stock shelves and receive/stock commercial drugs when required
- Mop and empty garbage/recycling daily
- Keep focused and on-task and operate as part of a cohesive team
- Perform other duties as required by management

Educational Requirements:

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday - Approximately 40 hours per week
- Shift schedule : 10:00am to 6:30pm
Pay: From $19.50 per hour

- Aurora, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
