Job Summary:
We are currently seeking preferably a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal or Journeyperson) to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Wage is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections (brakes, hydraulics, engine, suspension, etc.)
- Repair and replace defective parts using hand and power tools
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics(preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience (post-certification preferred)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
- Welding/fabrication skills considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
