Reporting to the Manager, HRBP, this individual will be responsible for completing administrative duties for the Canadian HR department and entry-level HR Business Partnership. This includes being the first line of contact for any HR inquiries and providing day-to-day support for employees and managers. Those with an aptitude for learning, being resourceful, and detail-minded will do well.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and levels throughout RESA Power. Be a Human Resources (HR) contact and trusted advisor for managers and employees.
- In partnership with HR Operations, coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and orientation sessions, along with offboarding employees (conducting exit interviews, advising payroll and benefit questions as it relates to last day of work)
- TN Visa and Immigration support (process visas internally).
- Responsible for Benefits and RRSP administration for nonunion employees including enrollments, terminations. Ensuring payroll and HR Operations is notified regarding changes.
- Partners with vendor to run enrollment Module. Manages communications from the system and audits elections.
- Audits and ensures all New Hires eligible for benefits have elected and/or waived benefits. Ensures employees who waive benefits are enrolled in company provided benefits.
- Partners with HR Operations and Payroll to ensure deductions are updated; Communicates with Broker to ensure vendor record(s) are accurate.
- Ensures employees coverage is terminated as per company benefit and governmental guidelines with Broker, Vendor and HRIS system.
- Ensures vendor file feeds are accurate and reflect accurate coverage levels and dependent information.
- Audits all benefit bills. Reports and resolves discrepancies with Broker and reports findings to Manager, HRBP.
- Project Management support for New Acquisitions:
- Support in the integration of new acquisitions into the company, including new offer letters, UKG support, RRSP and Benefit transition support.
- Under the direction of the Manager, HRPB, coordinate with various departments to align processes, policies, and systems for newly acquired entities within set timelines.
- Provide daily support to new business unit’s post-acquisition.
- Provide day-to-day HR support, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance, HR admin functions, confirmation of employment letters, Promotion Letters, Position Change Letters, annual merit letters
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance and resolution. Respond to Canadian specific inquiries received in the HR inbox. Cross training on UKG for Canada.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: send monthly reports to leadership. Support in data analytics including Employee pulse surveys, exit interview data, employee dashboard information, etc.
- Assist in the implementation and management of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in career fairs and recruitment events in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in MS Office applications. Experience using, maintaining, upgrading and reporting from an HRIS system required.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills.

Additional Information
Travel: Up to 20%.
