Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and acquire new clients shipping freight throughout Canada and the United States using modern sales technology, marketing tools, and strategic outreach methods.
- Build strong consultative relationships with clients by understanding their transportation challenges and delivering customer-focused logistics solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and onboarding to account growth and long-term relationship management.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while consistently achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Carrier teams to identify growth opportunities and ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Apply a variety of sales strategies and methodologies to tailor transportation solutions that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Drive revenue growth by delivering outstanding customer service, proactive communication, and consistent sales performance.
Freight Brokerage Knowledge & Sales Expertise
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of freight brokerage operations, transportation modes, carrier relationships, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
- Effectively sell brokerage services by identifying customer pain points, positioning value-added logistics solutions, and communicating service advantages in a competitive marketplace.
- Build confidence with clients through knowledge of freight movement, supply chain efficiency, capacity management, and transportation optimization.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market fluctuations, and brokerage best practices to better support client needs and maximize business opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience; an existing book of business is considered a strong asset.
- 2+ years of experience within the Transportation, Logistics, Freight Brokerage, or Supply Chain industry.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience researching, qualifying, and managing a successful sales pipeline.
- A creative and resourceful approach to generating new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with a customer-first mindset.
