Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining kitchen stations
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or staff as needed
- Help with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock
- Follow health and safety regulations to uphold sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Support team members during busy service hours to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking in a restaurant or food service setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong understanding of the food industry and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning protocols
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $16.60-$17.00 per hour
