THE ROLE

Reporting to the VP, Leasing, the Lease Administrator will liaise with various internal departments to ensure the effective delivery of Lease Administration services, which will see you working closely with the leasing and asset management teams.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Draft, negotiate, and finalize lease documents, amending agreements, license agreements, service agreements, and interpretation of lease clauses; for a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties.
Develop and/or implement standardized precedent step-downs, lease policies, procedures and documentation.
Maintain the lease database.
Corresponding with landlords, tenants, lawyers, leasing representatives and site personnel.
Due diligence activities as required; preparation, review and verification of estoppel certificates.
Other duties as assigned.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

Post-secondary education, preferable with a Paralegal / Law Clerk designation.
At least 2 years of experience in a legal or real estate environment
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities:

Knowledge of lease clauses and terminology within the commercial real estate industry.
Ability to understand and interpret legal documentation.

Bachelor's degree or better in Paralegal Studies or related field.
