Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a General Site Cleaner / Painter / Taper and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and visually appealing work environment. In this multifaceted position, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of job sites, performing residential and commercial painting tasks, and applying drywall finishing techniques such as taping and sanding. Your expertise will contribute to successful restoration projects, commercial builds, and industrial maintenance, all while working alongside skilled professionals dedicated to quality craftsmanship. Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of construction sites by removing debris, dust, and waste materials to promote safety and efficiency.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking gaps, and applying primers as needed.
- Execute painting tasks on residential, commercial, or industrial projects using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision.
- Apply drywall tape, mudding, sanding, and finishing techniques to achieve smooth wall surfaces aligned with schematics and blueprints.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform carpentry tasks such as installing trims or patching walls during restoration projects.
- Assist with rigging and setting up scaffolding or ladders to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Follow detailed schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate application of paint coatings and finishing details.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and ensure project deadlines are met.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction work with a focus on cleaning, painting, or drywall taping is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking applications, carpentry basics, and rigging procedures.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing exceptional customer service when interacting with clients or site visitors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different work environments including restoration sites and new construction projects.
