Responsibilities
- Install commercial signage and exterior fixtures using rigging techniques, hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to ensure secure and precise placement.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Apply various types of coatings including residential, commercial, industrial, and restoration paints to exterior surfaces following schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and painting tasks.
- Perform exterior painting on building facades using proper techniques to achieve smooth finishes while adhering to safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding project progress, potential issues, or adjustments needed during installation or painting processes.
Skills
- Construction experience with a focus on sign installation or exterior painting projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with rigging, carpentry, caulking, restoration work, and industrial or commercial painting.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for installation and surface preparation.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques including surface prep, priming, caulking, and finishing coats.
- Ability to read schematics accurately for precise installation work.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently on multiple projects.
- Experience with residential painting is a plus but not required; a focus on commercial facades is preferred.
