Job Overview
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are also open to considering experienced Pharmacy Assistants with a strong background in community pharmacy who are looking to further develop their skills in a collaborative pharmacy environment.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage medication inventory, including restocking and labeling supplies
- Provide patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
- Support medication administration processes as needed, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed
- Adhere to all safety, health, and sanitation standards within the pharmacy environment
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the OCP, or
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma and/or equivalent community pharmacy experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience in patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
