The Office of the Registrar (RO) provides wide-ranging services to NAIT students, faculty and staff from the point of application through to graduation. A strategic partner in program and student success, the RO champions NAIT’s educational model and provides subject matter expertise on admissions, enrolment, and student information system solutions and data. The RO is a leader in the NAIT community, ensuring adherence to academic regulations and processes that facilitate the provision of valued credentials, maintaining the integrity of student academic records, and a key informational resource for internal and external stakeholders..

The Assistant Registrar, Process Improvement provides support to the Associate Registrar, Systems, Process Improvement, and Reporting. The role serves a key function in the design, testing, and implementation of new systems and methodologies related to all registrarial services, ensuring all enhancements leverage current strengths, align processes, and optimize student success. The Assistant Registrar works in partnership with stakeholders to develop and execute annual and multi-annual plans to support internal NAIT initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical, functional, and operational expertise in the management of NAIT’s student information system

Coach the Process Analyst team to ensure they are achieving goals identified in the Office of the Registrar Strategic Plan through setting and communicating work expectations, goals setting, and performance management

Proactively strive for continuous improvement to departmental processes

Work in collaboration with the Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Records, the Manager, Systems and Reporting, and other partners to implement enhancements and streamline processes and procedures

Develop and implement resource allocation strategies

Lead process and system enhancement efforts with cross-functional teams and institute stakeholders

Promote the effective use of technology in streamlining and automating business processes

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. A combination of related work experience and education may be considered

2-3 years of related supervisory and leadership experience in a post-secondary environment

A minimum of five years of progressive experience related to system management in a post-secondary institution; equivalent experience in a comparable setting may be considered

Must possess a strong knowledge of PeopleSoft or a similar Student Administration system

Proven strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of critically analyzing issues to inform decision making

Substantial experience in multi-tasking and prioritizing effectively in a high-volume environment with multiple deadlines

Strong proficiency in communication and facilitation, with demonstrated superior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build consensus among diverse groups

Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships

Remuneration: $3,182.94 to $4,217.00 bi-weekly plus comprehensive benefits
