Our platform integrates real-time classical computer vision and deep learning algorithms, 3D eye imaging, and high-precision laser surgery. We aim to revolutionize ophthalmic treatments, delivering exceptional outcomes and ultimately preventing blindness and disability caused by eye diseases.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and adaptable Operations Manager to join our pioneering team at PulseMedica. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our daily operations run smoothly while providing strong project support and leadership. Key responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage supply chain logistics, including procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the production process.
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline operations, logistics and enhance communication.
Project Support and Leadership:
- Assist with resource allocation, including people resources, to support project needs.
- Work across multifunctional teams to foster collaboration and achieve project objectives.
- Provide comprehensive support for projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Act as a key facilitator, communicator and motivator within project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Make sound and strategic decisions to overcome project obstacles and achieve successful outcomes.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, empowering team members to take ownership and grow professionally.
- Motivate both direct reports and cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Ensure there are no operational obstacles that hinder project progress.
Business Operations Support:
- Collaborate and oversee the Business Operations lead in grant writing and funding initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
- Monitor funding application processes and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in operations management and project support, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and project support methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality management systems in the medical device industry.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding for projects.
- Project Management experience
Anticipated Start Date: as soon as a suitable candidate is found
Duration: Full time Permanent (40 hours per week)
Salary: Commensurate to experience and qualifications
Location: Edmonton (Preferred).
