As a successful candidate, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary team where you will be responsible for providing exemplary patient care by applying the regional policies, procedures and work ranging from basic to highly complex procedures and activities within the x-ray and laboratory departments.
In addition to your strong coordination, organization and communication skills, you have experience with lab procedures, diagnostic imaging and cardiology procedures. A member of the inter-professional team, you will be responsible for monitoring the collecting, analyzing, and reporting of biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, performing ECGs and Holter monitors.

Job Description:
As a CLXT, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent relevant experience as a Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist performing procedures in a core laboratory and general diagnostic imaging, including hospital affiliated training programs. Laboratory experience includes hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, specimen collection, preparation and referral. Recent cardiology experience including ECG and Holter Monitor techniques.
