Compensation
- Salary Range: $20-$24/hour

What You’ll Do
- Tackle physical work with energy and enthusiasm
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with demolition and emergency mitigation after floods, fires, and other disasters
- Support multiple teams through cross-training in remediation, contents cleaning, emergency response, and rebuild
- Help with finishing work like carpentry, trim, and fine details
- Help install doors, moldings, baseboards, and hardware
- Assist with drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, and painting
What You Bring
- Experience and desire to do physical work
- Understanding and experience using hand and power tools
- Interest in demolition and emergency mitigation
- Willingness to follow all company safety requirements including wearing full PPE as required: Full face masks require clean shave (if applicable)
- Interest in cross training in Remediation, Contents Cleaning, Emergency, Rebuild and helping all teams
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
- Curious nature, always want to know how things happen
- Strong people, teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail, ability to follow directions
- A safety mindset
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

- Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience? Are you comfortable operating a phone to navigate through applications and record info as instructed?
- This job requires physical fitness, including lifting 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive heavy lifting such as moving furniture and boxes. Please explain your physical capability to meet these requirements.
- Are you able to work a rotating on call schedule, responding to emergency calls after regular hours? This on call work is in addition to your scheduled daytime hours, and premium pay as well as overtime will be provided.
- Are you comfortable driving a large cube van/fleet vehicle around the city and parking in residential streets? If you are not experienced, are you willing to learn? Please explain:
- Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
- Are you fluent reading / writing/ speaking English? If no, please rank your skills out of 10 (1 is basic, 10 is fluent)
- This role sometimes requires working later than scheduled, as jobs may need an extra hour or two to finish properly. Please explain your ability to stay late when needed, knowing all overtime is paid.
Experience:
- using hand and power tools: 1 year (preferred)
- demolition: 1 year (preferred)

- Canadian drivers license (required)
