Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring smooth front desk operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Previous hotel experience and multilingual capabilities are highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, representing the face of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle reservations, inquiries, and guest requests efficiently
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues, and offering local recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using front desk software
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure safety and security for all guests and staff
- Perform night audit procedures, including balancing daily transactions and reports
- Set up the breakfast room in preparation for morning service
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and hotel areas.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with light housekeeping checks as needed
- Handle guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse guests
- Experience with front desk operations in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
- Proficiency in multi-line phone systems and reservation management software
- Knowledge of guest services standards within the hospitality industry
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
