WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA?
As our Financial Data Analyst you will be will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights that support key business decisions. Your role will involve working closely with finance, accounting, and operations teams to create financial reports, identify trends, and assist in forecasting. You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely. HOW DO YOU FIT IN?
The successful individual will have the following experience, education, and ability to develop these demonstrated skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably 2+ years in a similar role.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, and data analysis tools.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify actionable insights.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders.

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements is an asset.

Experience with financial reporting systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), preferred.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Data Collection & Reporting (65%)
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources to develop meaningful reports and insights.

Prepare financial reports, including monthly Balanced scorecards, variance analysis, and ad hoc reports for senior management.

Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data to provide insights into the company’s performance.

Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver financial insights that drive process improvement and business outcomes.

Collaborate on the development and automation of reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management on financial performance.

Support the finance team in preparing periodic management reports and presentations.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting by regularly validating financial data and models.
Financial Planning & Analysis (25%)
- Assist in developing financial models and forecasts to support budgeting, long-term planning, and decision-making.

Assist the Director of Finance to perform scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate potential financial risks and opportunities.

Assist the Director of Finance on project initiatives for the company.
Other Duties (10%)
- Assist in documenting processes for the Finance team

Assist the Director of Finance in managing banking operations for the company.

Coverage for treasury-related function
