Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
- Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring consistency and visual appeal
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks effectively
- Stock ingredients and notify management of inventory needs for timely restocking
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, meal preparation, and kitchen equipment is advantageous
