Night Manager position is available at the Quality Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown. An exciting hotel located in the heart of Vancouver's entertainment district. Looking for someone who is genuinely fun loving and outgoing, while having excellent people skills! We are looking to add a strong individual to our team with experience managing and working in a team.
You must be comfortable taking directive from management and effectively enforcing it with the rest of the team. All while keeping the team moral positive and eager to excel further!
Knowledge of ChoiceAdvantage property management system and prior hotel supervisory experience are required. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.
Abilities required:
- Knowledge of ChoiceAdvantage property management system
- Prior Hotel Front Desk Supervisor experience is required
- Perform all night audit duties, including but not limited to the posting of room and tax changes, balancing and reconciliation of accounts.
- Go the extra mile, responding to guest inquiries with ease and finesse and performing in an intuitive manner that stirs the guest’s soul.
- Provide courteous and efficient telephone service and person care at the level expected for the property.
- Support Front Office Manager in the selection process, training, and development of the Guest Experience Team
- Excellent knowledge of the city, restaurants, shopping and attractions
- Able to communicate with guests in a pleasing manner in a variety of situations
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent communication skills, have a fun loving and outgoing personality, but most of all, you must be able to incorporate your skill set into a already strong team. The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and a "can do" attitude. A minimum of one year of previous hotel experience is preferred within the same role. The candidate must possess excellent guest service and communication skills, both verbal and written. This position is perfect for someone who has a passion for guest service, problem resolution and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
As with night manager positions, hours will vary as needed. The candidate must be avialble to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
Must be a people person, but most of all, you must be able to work well in a team environment.
The ability to speak additional languages is an advantage.
