Position Summary:
We are seeking a full time/permanent responsible custodian to maintain our facility. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role with focuses on building upkeep and cleaning. Candidate must have experience with the following duties and responsibilities and able to work evening and weekends.
Typical Duties:
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing floors
- Carpet cleaning
- Floor re-surfacing programs
- Cleaning and disinfecting of washrooms
- Removal of garbage and recycling services
- Window Cleaning
- Rooms and office cleaning
Qualifications:
- 'G' class driver’s license in conjunction with a clean driving record
- Sound knowledge of all cleaning duties and responsibilities
- Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of building/commercial cleaning experience
Skills:
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced, environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Bending and crouching is required
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of chemicals and equipment related to profession
- Adhere to all Health & safety regulations
- Team player
