Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Sales Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly sales calls, both internally (with the Schep’s sales team) and externally (with current and prospective customers).
- Manage assigned sales leads and customer accounts, ensuring timely follow-up, clear communication, and strong relationship management.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts, including new product ideas and increased distribution.
- Actively search for and cold call new business opportunities.
- Support new customer onboarding, including completing required documentation and coordinating setup with internal teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of service (AKA Customer Service for the assigned accounts).
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, production, logistics) to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Track and report on sales activity, pipeline progression, and account performance.
- Assist in preparing for customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
Schep’s Responsibilities
- Provide the tools, resources, and product samples needed to support sales efforts.
- Offer ongoing feedback, coaching, and guidance on sales strategy and account management.
- Ensure clear communication regarding product availability, pricing, and operational updates that may impact customers.
Work Expectations
- Full-time
- Standard working hours aligned with business operations, with flexibility as needed to support customers.
- Hands-on collaboration with production and operations teams to build a deep understanding of products and capabilities.
Travel Expectations
(All work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed by Schep’s Bakeries)
- Customer visits: Occasional travel to meet with key accounts and support relationship development.
- Tradeshows: Potential travel to attend and support industry tradeshows and events.
