Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and support our company's financial processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, experience with various accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring smooth office functions, accurate financial record-keeping, and effective communication across departments.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accounting records using software such as PC Law, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and account analysis
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and document organization
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting processes
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audits and internal review
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling, correspondence, and office supplies management
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal accounting principles, excellent working knowledge of trust accounting in compliance with LSO and Law Society guidelines, and a proven ability to support the financial operations in a law firm environment
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office management roles
- Experience with accounting software is required
- Proficiency in PC Law preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients
Salary commensurate with experience.
