We are seeking a motivated and organized Welding Shop Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with knowledge of welding and fabrication who enjoys working with customers, coordinating projects, and helping keep a busy shop running smoothly. Position Overview The Welding Shop Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for customers and the shop team. This person will help manage day-to-day operations, support project scheduling, maintain communication with clients, and assist with administrative and promotional tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and discuss welding and fabrication projects. Prepare quotes and assist with job intake. Coordinate shop schedules, production timelines, and customer due dates. Order steel, materials, and shop supplies while maintaining inventory levels. Communicate with customers regarding project status and completion dates. Work closely with welders to prioritize jobs and ensure efficient workflow. Assist with invoicing, taking payments, and preparing quotations. Create and manage social media content to promote the company and completed projects. Maintain a professional, friendly, and customer-focused front office. Qualifications Experience or knowledge of welding, fabrication, or the steel industry. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, QBO, and general computer applications. Experience ordering materials and coordinating multiple projects is an asset. Interest in social media marketing and content creation. Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
