Wells Construction provides Construction services in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Wells Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking seasonal, full-time Surveyor for our 2021 construction season starting in May.

Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task.
Operation of Trimble Survey Equipment
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Knowledge of road construction
Knowledge of Autocad, civil 3D, tin files, creating surface elevations and reports
Must be competent wit GPS and Robotic Total Station
Knowledge of GPS for machine control set up for heavy construction equipment
Knowledge of City of Edmonton Specifications
Knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding area
Experience with Land Surverying
Working with others
Our job sites are located in various locations around Edmonton, which the applicant is required to have their own source of transportation. All posted positions involve road construction duties as well as operating of heavy duty equipment.
We offer COMPETITIVE WAGES with both regular time and overtime rates, in order to ensure job completion in a condensed work season.
All considered candidates will be subject to a driver's abstract review, and must pass a medical exam.

Work Site Environment: Outdoors
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be expected to exercise sound judgment, work safely and communicate effectively in a team. This position is physically demanding and requires crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling. As such, clearance on a pre-employment medical is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of following safe work procedures and be able to complete field risk assessments.
