We are currently seeking an experienced
Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our growing HVAC team. If you take pride in your workmanship, enjoy working with a great team, and are looking for a long-term career with opportunities to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Fabricate, install, modify, and repair sheet metal ductwork for residential, commercial, and light industrial HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Install ductwork, fittings, dampers, diffusers, and related HVAC components.
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools.
- Perform HVAC service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on residential and commercial equipment as required.
- Coordinate with project managers, service technicians, and other trades on-site.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide practical solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Represent CJ Brubacher professionally while interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- Licensed Sheet Metal Journeyman (308A) or equivalent recognized certification.
- Valid G2 Gas Technician Licence (required).
- Experience servicing and troubleshooting residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Minimum 3 years of sheet metal installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and duct systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be considered strong assets:
- Refrigeration experience.
- ODP Certification.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Elevated Work Platform (Lift) certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with custom duct fabrication.
- Experience working on retrofit and renovation projects.
