We are currently looking for a dynamic, multi-faceted, Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team.
Schedule: Rotating shifts; days, evenings, weekend and on-call support.
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of pharmacy activities in Hamilton Pharmacy. The role is responsible for day to day supervision of the pharmacy team ensuring that standards of practice and legislated, corporate and departmental requirements are met. The role will also ensure that quality of service delivery is maximized.
The Pharmacy Supervisor will direct, guide, and mentor the pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and order entry clerks within the department. The Pharmacy Supervisor has a sound knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, internal practices and S.O.P.s. The incumbent must ensure that all functions are performed on a timely and efficient basis so that patients receive quality products with 100% customer satisfaction. The incumbent will provide frontline pharmacist services as business volume dictates, including Pharmacy Assistant/CSR and Order Entry support when required. The incumbent must have excellent problem solving skills as they are very frequently called upon to resolve a multitude of inter-departmental issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
ü Pharmacy Degree, with recognized provincial licensing; with a at least two years experience in a pharmacy similar to that of Calea.
ü 2-4 years experience in a leadership role.
ü Excellent understanding of the Ontario Drug Benefit plan and third party payors' requirements for prescription entry and electronic and manual billing
ü Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
ü Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
ü Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office. Experience using SAP an asset.
ü Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
ü Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
ü Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
ü Excellent continuous improvement skills
ü Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
ü Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints.
