Job Summary:
As a Car Sales Representative, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right vehicle to meet their needs, guiding them through the entire sales process, and providing a positive, consultative buying experience. You will play an integral role in growing our dealership’s sales while ensuring that every customer feels valued and informed throughout their journey.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Greet and engage customers to assess their needs, preferences, and budget, helping them find the perfect vehicle.
- Vehicle Presentations: Demonstrate and explain vehicle features, benefits, and performance to potential buyers during in-person or virtual presentations.
- Test Drives: Accompany customers on test drives, highlighting key features and providing insights into vehicle performance.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing options, ensuring mutually beneficial deals for both the customer and the dealership.
- Sales Closing: Close sales transactions by finalizing paperwork, securing financing, and ensuring customers leave satisfied.
- Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls and emails post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and encourage referrals.
- Upselling: Promote and upsell additional products or services such as warranties, service packages, and aftermarket accessories.
- Sales Targets: Manage your sales pipeline, consistently meet monthly sales targets, and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with dealership and legal requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, finance department, and management to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: Previous retail sales experience preferred; automotive experience is an asset (training available for motivated candidates)
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build rapport and trust
- Sales Ability: Proven negotiation, upselling, and closing skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Customer Service: Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality service
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems and basic office software (e.g., MS Office)
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple leads and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- License: Valid driver’s license required
- OMVIC License: Valid OMVIC Salesperson License required
