Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting physiotherapists by assisting with patient care, rehabilitation exercises, and clinical tasks. Duties
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs.
- Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and report observations to supervising physiotherapists.
- Provide patient education on rehabilitation techniques, post-treatment care, and injury prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment records in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to optimize clinic operations.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure cleanliness of treatment areas in compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a physiotherapist assistance in a physiotherapy /rehabilitation clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of current physiotherapy practices and rehabilitation techniques is preferred.
- Certification or diploma in Physiotherapy Assistance or related healthcare field is an asset.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical schedules and patient needs.
