Rollstamp Manufacturing is an auto trim parts supplier to all of the major OEM's Rollstamp has Paintline, Stamping, Injection Moulding, Toolroom and assembly functions. Currently there are over 800 full time employees working at Rollstamp at multiple locations.

Major Responsibilities
Develop and improve programs PLC by using software to ensure efficient, cost effective process cycles.
Must adhere to Rollstamp safety policies and procedures.
Work comfortably with sometimes very tight timelines, and able to plan and stick to the plan.
Make programs or changes based on verbal instructions, data or drawings.
Check completed programs by running simulations, tests or measurements.
Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software.
Determine best sequence of operations by analysing job order and perform necessary calculations. PLC or Robot.
Set-up, adjust and troubleshoots machines to ensure that parts are produced according to quality and cycle time requirements.
Monitor all programs to make sure they follow their intended task safely and successfully.
Ensure that all set-ups and repairs are done in a manner that will ensure the Company’s objectives with respect to minimizing downtime and scrap.
Share work knowledge and provide training for members of the team.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) at all times.
Participate in team problem solving, preventative/corrective action and on-going continuous improvements as required.
Responsible for encouraging teams to develop new ways to improve quality and productivity.

Communicate with and to all departments/Management as required.
Maintain work performance within the guidelines of TS-16949.
Maintains, 5S, safety and housekeeping standards of work place as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other Company policies and procedures or by the supervisor.
Completes tool room job sheets.
Comply with Section 28 of the OHSA.
Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.
Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.

Knowledge and Education
5 years’ experience in PLC (Omron), Robot and/or CNC programming
5 years’ experience in automotive parts manufacturing and finishing processes.
Excellent knowledge of hand tools and assembly process.
Excellent knowledge of measuring equipment and SPC.
Understanding of other number systems such as HEX, BCD, ASCI and other data types.
Experience with Omron, Schneider, Eaton, AB and ezPanel screens.
Must have a thorough understanding of Ethernet networking with both PLC and computers, as well as other networking like device net and serial communications.
Understanding of protocols and baud rates.
A good understanding of VFD drives, servos and steppers.
Knowledge of Festo and SMC drives and stepper controls.
Able to read and make electrical drawings when necessary.
Able to use a multi meter and Scope meter, among others.
Follow the electrical safety code book.
Ability to work proactively with very little or no direct supervision.
Able to collect, analyze and communicate date and information in an effective, professional manner to floor workers as well as upper Management.
Must have strong computer skills.
Must have the ability to read blueprints.
Must be fluent in English and maintain a co-operative and positive manner with other staff members in a team spirited environment.
Work Experience
5 years’ experience in PLC (Omron) programming
5 years’ experience in automotive parts manufacturing and finishing processes.
Ontario Electrician Certificate/Industrial Certificate required.

Will be working in a manufacturing environment. Noise and temperature levels may vary. Proper PPE must be worn.
